A Secret I\’ve Never Revealed To Making Money Off Those Prospects That Don\’t Join

Most of the time in network marketing we are laser focused on the activity of getting people into our mlm business. You call leads or email them or get them in whichever way your selected marketing and advertising model demands and you push for them to sign up for your business opportunity and when they don’t join up you trash them.


Low Point

Well, there was a point in my history where I was purchasing five dollar Television telephone confirmed leads and paying up to $500 a month on these leads to attempt to develop my business opportunity. I called these folks and they did not join and I bad mouthed the leads until . . . (and this is the part that I haven’t revealed to anyone)….I thought to myself what a waste, I am spending tons of cash and getting no ROI, there’s got to be something I can do to improve this.

Exploring Options

I began to imagine ways that I might possibly profit from these useless mlm leads and at least recover a little part of some of my capital investment. I considered what I could do to improve my situation for about a weeks time before it dawned on me. I recognized that simply because these folks were not interested in my business opportunity it didn’t mean that they still weren’t interested in joining a mlm business. So I imagined . . . How I can I offer these lifeless leads extra choices in a way that I could at least recover a little money?

The Cost per Acquisition (CPA) Answer

Next the Ah Ha moment came! Pay Per Lead Affiliate Programs for mlm business opportunities! That’s where the mlm leads came from in the 1st place, why not direct them back where they came from and make a little cash on the way out? There are affiliate programs out there that will pay you a fee NOT on a real sale, but on simply having leads finish a straightforward form about a network marketing business opportunity. I found a nice cost-per-acquisition affiliate program in the mlm business opportunity arena to become a member of and I registered.

Back to the Source

I began experimenting with after phoning mlm leads providing them my affiliate hyperlink for my cost-per-acquisition affiliate program and telling the mlm leads to take a look at other possibilities. Ultimately I shifted to doing this on the front end. It was a fantastic guise. I’d call and say I was a home network marketing business advisor and that I was intending to be discussing some different mlm business opportunities with them. I would then provide them the affiliate link and tell them to check out the various other alternatives and then set a consultation to talk about their options.


Trusted Advisor Status

Folks adored it because I was not pushing them in one particular direction and so the sales stress was gone and these leads were much more open to chatting with me on the follow-up about their choices. As a result just before I moved to a totally online marketing approach I was making back $3.25 on about 50% of the network marketing leads that I approached by the basic action of having them fill in the form and produced a situation where I was a consultant and NOT a sales person.

What Next?

The moral of the story is there is normally a means to enhance your situation if you simply take a step back and evaluate it objectively. If you are still calling network marketing leads give it a shot, if you’re not then take the greater moral home and incorporate it into your mlm business. (Don’t think this isn’t something I’m testing on the internet, and if you’re creative you will see opportunities to do the same online in your mlm business.)
